A Day Cafe: Cozy Coffee & Tea Spot in Richardson, TX

Found this place on Yelp - looking for a warm dessert on a chilly January evening. Truly a secret gem. The mango sticky rice crepe and the banana crème brûlée crepe were outstanding. Espresso coffee and hot chocolate were delicious. A small, friendly,family run place. Immaculately clean. We will definitely be back to try more options on the menu.

Great service and a cozy vibe. We tried a mango & a strawberry matcha as well as a sandwich & a banana biscoff crepe.

We needed to charge our rental car and found this cafe nearby. I ordered a caffe latte with vanilla syrup and banoffee crepe. Let me tell you that crepe was delicious and not overly sweet. The portions were more than enough and the flavors reminded me of a banana cream pie but with biscoff cookie crumbs. The latte was strong just how I like it! Definitely recommend stopping by.

A Day Cafe has that quiet charm you don’t expect tucked into such a small space—it’s tiny, but thoughtfully done. Minimalist in style, yet it feels nostalgic and homely in the best way. The little touches—like all the plants—really warm up the space. We came in for honey toast (well, my friend was craving it), so we went all in with the chocolate overload. And let me tell you—diabetes on a plate is the only way to describe it. Thick honey toast drenched in condensed milk, drizzled with Nutella, and topped with M&M’s, Oreos, and marshmallows. It looked like a sugar explosion and tasted like one too. I could barely manage a bite. If you’ve got a serious sweet tooth, this one’s for you—but I think I’ll try a fruit version next time. Their boba, though? Solid. And the lady working there was the sweetest—genuinely kind and welcoming, which makes all the difference. Might just come back for the boba and the vibes alone.

The French toast is really good!! Loved the texture and the thickness. Loved the bananas with caramel and chocolate ice cream. Only reason why it’s not a five star review is because the coffee was whatever and the atmosphere is a bit weird, the owners had their kids running around, the waitress babysitting the kids and it just felt like a mom and pop shop instead of a nice dessert spot. Which is not ideal because it’s always best to sit and enjoy such a nice French toast, while it is still warm and fresh, instead of eating it uncomfortable in the car while the ice cream melts. If we end up going back, we’re gonna have to take out because the atmosphere is just awkward.

I've been coming to this small but wonderful cafe for two years, and it's truly a hidden gem. The owners, a young couple from the Far East, are incredibly friendly and their coffee is hands down the best I've ever had. Their desserts are also a must-try. I love sitting at their small outdoor table, enjoying my coffee under the beautiful trees. It’s such a peaceful escape from the concrete jungle of the city. While many modern cafes are all style and no substance, this place has a special, calming energy. I was so busy with work and investments that I couldn’t visit for a while, but it feels so good to be back. This cafe is a true sanctuary.

Cozy and cute, this cafe looked to be family owned in the best way. Delightful staff that made you feel welcome and at home. Last but not least, the food tasted as fantastic as it looked! The Berry Berry Crepe was the perfect balance of tart and sweet berries paired with the sweet cream filling, cooked and plated to perfection. The Turkey and Cheese Crepe hit my savory needs exquisitely with its tasty mix of cheeses and an amazing compliment of spinach with a vinaigrette dressing. Highly recommend this little spot!
